The Eye Center Optical Department also offers specialty lenses  built for tough wear. Your child needs glasses that will stand up under his or her busy days. Several new technologies produce better lenses and coatings. The following are just a few:

• Alize—an anti-reflective coating that we recommend to reduce glare from computer screens, fluorescent lighting, and the star-burst effect noticed while driving at night. It also has a scratch coating.
• Varilux—top of the line in all progressive lenses. Types of Varilux are listed below:
